Texas Adoption Lawyers

By adopting, you’re giving a chance of a better life to a child, and while the domestic adoption process is fairly standard nationwide, each state does maintain their own particular requirements.

In order to qualify as a potential adoptive parent(s) in Texas, you will need to go through a screening process. First, you must be at least 21 years old and financially stable. Then you will need to complete an application to adopt, sharing your background and lifestyle. This will be checked by having a home study, and through references that you’ve provided.

Finally, you’ll need to consent to a criminal background and child abuse checks. These checks will be conducted on all adults that resides in the home.

Texas Probate Lawyers

A death in the family can be a harrowing experience, and the burden can become unyielding if you haven’t put your finances in order. When a death occurs and a Trust, Beneficiaries plans, or a right of survivorship has not been established, then property will be allocated through probate.

Probate is the process where a Texas court legally validates a deceased person’s will, if they have one, and then determines an executor. The executor will handle the payment of a deceased person’s debts and determine how remaining assets will be divided among surviving members of the family.
